Samson von Syrus is a very handsome, medium-sized, 16-month-old German Shepherd with a mid-to-high energy level. He comes out of his kennel very excited, ready to participate in any activity you have in mind for the day. He is very affectionate with people, with whom he is like a big baby. His exuberance during outings needs to be tempered with a bit of leash training to prevent him from pulling and teaching him to listen to corrections. He can be leash-reactive and doesn’t like males, so he’ll need some training along those lines. Samson needs to be properly introduced to other dogs – males in particular (he does well with females if properly introduced). His affection for his humans makes him listen very well so, with some training and socializing, this sweet and loving boy will blossom. Samson walks confidently into the playgroup yard and is easily corrected if acting up toward the other dogs. He does not approve of hyperactive dogs, but is very responsive to his human and desirous to please. With some time and training, he will be the great dog he is born to be.
